Very nice hotel-but what is great? *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWhat the hotel to number all hotels in the Algarve made (if one the reviews on holidaycheck as a basis), remains a mystery to me after the visit. It offers beach location and relative proximity nothing (except rooms, and Oh yes, a 'indoor pool' and a bar inside was closed during the day), no garden, no pool, no shade, no seating, no restaurant/bar on the beach. The beach in front of the hotel is not recommendable to go barefoot. Because of the very strong winds beach stay was but anyway not feasible, without being sandblasted. It remained the stay on a small bare roof terrace, with hospitality. We were glad, that we were able to move after a day. The room (view of the sea at the front building, first floor) was okay, although more than a steep price for at least a night without usual hotel services are required. The ' waiters 'breakfast in (transition between the two buildings) we have launched quite quickly behind us, because the offer was quite Spartan anymore. Bottom line: given the reviews (and the price) we would have expected considerably more, for a pure beach stay in the summer without large demands the hotel may be sufficient. Recommendation only very limited and due.
