The hotel has about 20 rooms and is in a lovely old Art Nouveau building. Parking should be reserved with restaurant (cost, I think, nine euros per day), as parking spaces only limited available. The room a lovely old, renovated, floorboards and was otherwise bright and friendly. It had a tv and a stocked mini-bar. The breakfast was fabulous. Eggs, raw and cooked ham, four sorts of cheese, various sorts of cold meat, jam, different delicious bread rolls and bread (also whole wheat and leach), cereal and fruit and yogurt, orange juice...-left nothing to be desired. The hotel is quite central. In three minutes you are in one of the most beautiful freiburg city center-Districts-the ' Gerberau '. There is with the Feierling -beer garden in the most beautiful beer garden in the city. The münster is minutes further 5-10. The main pedestrian zone street, the emperor-josef-street, and the old city gate 'martinstor gate' are about 7-8 minutes away. My wife and I know there are now eight eu in freiburg hotels (also larger and genteel). The avenue hotel is located in the city center the cheapest and still a lot of Charme. We will stay there again.
