Central location and friendly service *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is located 300 m old-Weimar from the pedestrian zone in the centre. For sightseeing and shopping the car. The hotel's private, closed car park on the opposite side of the road at night costs five euros per day. In the rooms the Steuben road must be considerable traffic noise with the windows open to be taken into account. The Prellerstraße is comparatively transport arm. But there are also rooms facing the quiet yard available. On hot summer days it remains in the home due to the location, the height of the tree and relatively cool.
The 17 rooms in the historic building is spread over three floors. I got a corner room on the first floor with three windows on two streets. The non-binding reservation request hrs.-record ('quiet room') were not met. The decor I would describe as functional. The hotel itself points out in its publications to the Bauhaus style interior, with same meaning a bit higher in the heart attacks and, indeed, the furniture in the restaurant and at some of the furnishings in the room there is. The minimalist seats in the property (see photo) but rather reminded me of IKEA (which is not mutually exclusive). The fact is, is that there is no seating; it would have no place for it. With the unused floorboards-surface combines the advantage, that (and with a second door) the sleep section of the stairway is closed. The rooms have carpeted floors, no window curtains, but blackout drapes/curtains, meet their purpose to some extent. The double bed was furnished with single mattresses. The small flat screen tv from the bed was in a perspective of 45 degrees about position, which after a few minutes it is quite uncomfortable.
In the bathroom there is a sink and a shower stall simple, hairdryer and towel warmer, as well as the usual toiletries. The quality of the Badtextilien is located in the lower segment. I stayed at the sleep and sanitary area everything was very clean and kept in pristine condition, not to mention free two bottles of colony.
The friendly staff at a small bar and, of course, I came through the side entrance in the Prellerstraße (the historic main entrance is on the increasing front was locked pillars).
The breakfast is served in the conservatory or open during warm weather, take a seat under old trees. The official breakfast time begins at eight o'clock. The service was excellent, as in all areas of the hotel were very attentive, nice and friendly. So the guest can feel comfortable, not convince all the facilities of the hotel completely.
