Highly recommended for the weekend *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is perfectly suitable for a weekend stay. Of course it is not a luxury hotel, but who needs it, if we were only there to sleep in the room is?
Our room was clean and had next to a wardrobe, a desk with chair, a tv and a sink with a cabin with shower and toilet, which for me, as well as the hygiene, the most important thing in a hotel.
The windows are very well insulated, so you hear nothing from the street noise. Furthermore, I found the existing shutters as much better than the curtains, which one finds otherwise in almost all hotels.
As the name suggests, the hotel is located very close to the theater, so that one just across the street must, if you want to visit.
The Pforzheimer city began as well right in front of the hotel.
The main station is only a stone's throw away, so that even with a suitcase in the luggage no taxi needed is, if you arrive by train.
A few things we disliked:
Firstly, our room door was only with a beard-old castle, so that we didn't feel, our things in the room safe had been removed.
The bed was very comfortable, however the double bed consisted of two single beds, which had a low friction resistance to the floor. This means, if you are walking in the bed crack rolls, sliding both beds directly apart and fall on the floor, if you do not quickly.
A major problem is the lack of parking spaces. There are parking spaces in urban immediate vicinity, but they weren't exactly cheap. We have solved the problem so, that we only used it to unload at the hotel and parked our car 5-10 minute walk away to have a free parking lot.
Our last concern relates to the check-in and although I have the hotel I 'am theater' the first time, that I had to pay in advance. Although the front desk is large chipped, that is to be paid at the check-out, I got the keys in exchange for the visa. From the hotel, I still don't understand today. But maybe I am, as langhaariger man, plain and simple a potential. Dodger ☺
