Hotel Aqua Blu Sharm el Sheikh

We were literally a short walk from the beach although there is a bus provided if you didn't want to walk. The old town is a five minute taxi road down the road and there is a new shopping centre about a ten minute taxi ride. The animation team were excellent and nothing was too much trouble our 10 year old son spent most of his days with kimo and sam. Evening entertainment was good having the usual childrens disco followed by a show to cater for the children and the adults. We did the quad biking excursion and we all thoroughly enjoyed it and would have no worries recommending this as part of your holiday. The airport is a 20 minute taxi ride.

Most of the staff are very friendly and their understanding of english is good. We were dealt with very quickly on check in but unfortunately our rooms were not suitable but this was not a problem and new rooms were allocated to us. We did unfortunately have to be moved again due to a noise problem outside of our room but this was dealt with very quickly and we were upgraded to a bungalow.

There are three main restaurants to eat in. The food is varied and they have different theme nights so most nationalities are catered for. The waiters are very accommodating even dressing the tables for special occasions as we had a 21st birthday and our friends birthday whilst on holiday. The children were catered for very well and never really went hungry as there was always something for them to eat. As far as cleanliness the restaurants were very clean there was always somebody cleaning tables and brushing floors.

The Aqua Blue is a water park as well as a hotel so as far as catering for our children there was plenty for them to do. We had clean towels provided for us everyday and there was never a problem with getting a sunbed and the poolside staff were very helpful. Also felt very safe as each pool had a lifeguard. Activity wise all angles are covered as they have outdoor chess, mini golf, ping pong, billards, parks and lots of water activities etc. They are currently building a spa and fitness centre.

The only reason I have scored this lower is due to the fact that we had to be moved twice due to the first time the room not being the right size and then in the next room the noise level was unbearable but we were moved within a couple of days to a really nice bungalow. Would recommend that if you were to book a holiday at the Aqua Blu you request that you do not have a room at the main entrance to the water park as there are shops and bars below and the noise goes on through the night. The rooms are kept very clean and we have clean sheets and towels everyday.

We came in March and the weather was lovely in the day but a little chilly in the evenings so would recommend bringing a cover up for the evenings as the entertainment is out side. If you suffer with an upset tummy at all would recommend that you see the hotel doctor or pharmacy and not bother with immodium as it usually needs antibiotics to clear it up.
