Hotel Aquamarina Beach Club

Ca. 10 minutes walk to the sandy beach. The is about 94 steps at the top of a steep wooden stairs to reach the red Sandsteinklippen. Next town (Albufeira) only by car. The hotel, there were no shopping possibilities, except for a very small Hotelkiosks. No bars, pubs, shopping nearby. 4 X daily hotel bus to Albufeira, but very complicated and time consuming.

Staff at the reception was very, very friendly. But English is provided. Try to speak German, but not so good. The cleaning staff is about thoroughly! You can eat from the ground! The waiters in the restaurant are very attentive and very friendly, but still distant. Very good attitude! Wishes were fulfilled immediately. For example, conference coordinator had selected I (like many guests) a very bad mattress. I asked for another mattress. Immediately I was presented with a thick foam mattress on the area.

I only can say: 1 week stay and the same food every day!!!! Always the same vegetables: carrots, peas, mushrooms. Dessert: Always the same puddings in all colors, 3 ice cream: brand very cheap! 3 Cakes: flavor: sticky sweet! Always the same at low-oil fried fish. For a week stay: 3 x (! ) Turkey skewers. It was really much!!! And a lot for the British palate: Breakfast: baked-beans, fried eggs, fried ham and sausages!!! You have to like!!!

Tennis court. Billiards between numerous slots squashed, so a game was not possible. Entertainment only for the English, and the a volume, that you couldn't sleep at night. Beach chairs and pool super clean! Beach is beautiful!! Kilometer long walks are fun. Very nice Klippenlandschaft!!!

Rooms are large and super clean! Very bright with lots of windows in all directions, even in the bathroom there's a window! Everything is well maintained, basic but there is nothing to complain about! Towels and bedding also white crisp linen!

September/October is the best travel time. It is warm, mild climate and perfect for excursions and hikes.
