Great adult only hotel in Crete
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AAquis Silva Beach is a neawly enovated hotel in the main street of Hersonissos but dont let the location put you off .As soon as you walk through the entrance you are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of a busy shopping area. We stayed here all inclusive. The rooms were tastefully refurbished and very clean. There was a wide range of fellow guests from young couples to retired people, a nice mix
Location
There is a small beach , two swimming pools.The shops , restuarants , bars etc are on your doorstep. There are bus stop not far from the hotel that will take you to all the larger towns in the area.and a landtrain that will take you up into the mountains to Hersonissos Old Town well worth the 10 euros cost. The buses are regular and reliable
Staff were professionl, friendly , efficient. nothing was to much trouble and they all went out of their way to make everyones stay a positive experience

General dinng room plus a resturant called the Olive Tree
Food was excellant , good choice and plenty of it
Sport & Entertainment
Pools and beach were excellant, clean and well kept. Leisure activitied revolved around excercise classes.Evening entertainment was very basic ok if you like a very slow game of Bingo ( God forbid)

Room was excellant reasnable size, good bathroom , Flatscreen TV ( Not that we used it ) CD Player Fridge and safe
Excellant refurbishment in main hotel but beware that the annexe has not yet been refurbished and you may be disappointed if you are allocated a room there
Tips and recommendations
Mobile phone signal fine, we paid £329 for one week all inclusive and it was great value for money.
I would imagine in the summer months June July and August it would get very hot and very busy. Weather was wonderful 26deg all week

Iraklion is a big city if you want hot dusty shopping , nice market area, Ag Nik is a beautiful city , and the trip to Spinalonga well worth the trip if you've read "The Island " by Victoria Heslop you really must do it
Dont bother with Malia, Dirty , run down , sad collection of 60's bars and restuarants
The boat trips available are good value for money , Sissi, and the glass bottomed boat are great
