Just a great holiday *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AGreat area, almost like a small village, but right at the shopping promenade.
It was nicely quiet in the area, we barely heard the street noise from outside. The ways to the shopping possibilities after the very rich meals were short.
The area and the rooms were cleaned every day, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
There were almost all European nationalities around.
The guests were between 1 and 70, it was very mixed.
Location
The beach was right in front of the hotel, but if you liked a great sandy beach, you could go on a 10 minutes' stroll. The water was still nicely warm, and even non-swimmers could walk far in the sea.
There were plenty of shopping possibilities, and you should also go for a walk to the harbour.
We recommend excursions by public bus to Nikolos or Heraklion.
The staff was very friendly and most of them spoke a little German, but certainly English.
Complaints were handled as fast as possible.
Gastronomy
The food was great, and I think there was something for every taste.
The a la carte food was excellent.
If something was running out, it was quickly replenished.
The dishes were quickly cleared so that we could get the delicious desserts.
Sport & Entertainment
I really liked that could play boules every day at 4pm.
The evening entertainment could have been a bit more varying. It didn't matter how the two ladies showed themselves.
There were 2 pools, so we could choose where to go.
There were always some free pool chairs, even though some guests reserved the chairs with their towels already in the morning.
Room
The rooms were simple, but had comfortable furnishing.
They were cleaned every day, nothing was missing.
A TV, a water kettle, a hair dryer, a fridge, a telephone and a small balcony were available.
