The hotel is what you would expect from a 3 star hotel, although the staff are very friendly and helpfull, we had a double room with a small balcony.
The bathroom was a shower and although small was enough.
The room also had a TV ( although only occasionally turned on was good for keeping up with the news ).
The room itself was very clean and the room service provided some very nice displays of towel folding each morning, we looked forward to returning in the evening to enjoy the displays.
The balcony was very small but ok as we were not sitting there very often.

Location

Suns

The location is perfect, within walking distance to downtown and all types of shopping.
Going to the beach was not far away by boat or bus, the hotel is directly on a lagoon and has a nice swimming pool so sunbathing and swimming at the hotel is also fun.
There are many possibilitys to book trips with your tour guide from the hotel and also with local tour guides who are alwqays available at the hotel pool area.
The trip highlight for us was " the dolphin house " a boat trip which lasts all day 9-5 where you can snorkel and there is the possibility to see and swim with dolphins. ( we reccomend booking with Mohamad from Strong waves at the hotel ) seems the locals know where to find the dolphins and on our trip we saw many and swam with lots of them, really unbelievable, also on the trip lunch is served and the food was excellent.

Service

The service was generally good, very friendly staff who spoke many languages.
Room cleaning was great and the room always looked in super condition after we returned in the evening.

One tip though and this actually frustrated us and kind of ruined a great week :
We were booked all inclusive, we ate at the hotel most evenings but never at lunch time because we were always out on a trip, the last day we had to check out by 12 noon and as it was the last day and we were going to arrive home in the early hours of the next morning we decided to have lunch at the hotel for the first time in 8 days and we were presented with a heavy bill as we were no longer considered guests, having checked out at noon, we had very little to eat, 2 beers and 2 white wines and got hit with a bill of around 50 Euro's, even eating one evening at a really top restaurant at the marina was cheaper !!!! be warned, this seemed to be a way for the hotel to make a lot of money and left a sour taste.
On complaining that we never used the restaurant at lunch time the whole time we were there the receptionist was not at all helpfull, actually this action had us decide not to go back to this hotel again, but just one bad experience in an otherwise super hotel should not put people off, but again for us was frustrating.

Gastronomy

There was the pool bar where we spent some time and played pool occasionally, met other guests in the evening for a drink and a chat.
The restaurant was nice split into smoking and non smoking areas.
The food was ok and more than what I would expect from a 3 star hotel, something for everyone.
The service in the restaurant was top class, very friendly staff always with a smile.
The restaurant was clean.
The drinks were served in plastic cups which was a shame.

Sport & Entertainment
3.0
Suns

There was not much on offer, perhaps because of the time of year, last week in October, evening entertainment was non existent with the exception of a show on a Wednesday evening.

Room
4.0
Suns

The room was sufficent, small but practical, air conditioning was available but very noisey ( only complaint on the room ).

The room was clean and well cleaned every day, enough towels, soap etc;

Was a 3 star hotel room.

Tips and recommendations

Well, the area itself is very nice, I would not go all inclusive again as there are many restaurant's in the area where you can try many different things and all within walking distance, the marina area is a place to visit and you can gou there with a tuc tuc for 5 Egyptian pounds / person each way ( 1 Euro 50 ).

The hotel is worth the money but watch out for the last day trick when they charge you extra for lunch ( lunch starts at 12:30 and you need to check out at 12 )

There are many hotels in the area and you need to decide what best suits your needs and pocket.
