Great place!
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe stayed at Aris Caves in October 2011 while on our honeymoon. During our honeymoon we spent time in Florence, Tuscany, Rome, Athens, and Santorini. Oia/Santorini was the best part of the trip! We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Aris Caves. We can’t imagine there is a better place to stay in Oia.
We were so incredibly sad to leave Aris Caves because after just four days, we felt like Christa and Aris were family. We are already dreaming of our return to Aris Caves and hope that we don’t have to wait long! Do yourself a favor and stay at Aris Caves while in Santorini!!
Location
Excellent. The location is also perfect, essentially in the very center of Oia so anything you want to do there is no more than a 10 minute walk away.
Excellent. Christa and Aris are exceptional hosts. They have thought of absolutely every detail to make their guests feel at home. Christa arranged our transportation from the airport and had our suitcases brought to our room, where we arrived to find a bottle of delicious local white wine in the refrigerator and coffee for the morning. Christa then sat us down and gave us a ton of information on the island, from where to buy groceries and good restaurants for dinner, to which tours to book and even information on the formation of the island. When we asked for a recommendation for a laundry mat, she said she would do our laundry for us because “holidays are no time to worry about doing laundry”!! Her passion for the island and her guests showed immediately and made us feel so welcomed and at home.

Room
Excellent. The hotel itself is amazing. Our room was very spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen so that we could make our own breakfasts in the morning. And of course, the private terrace – WOW! Our photos look like postcards. The views are breathtaking! Christa is quite the gardener and the flowers all over the property are gorgeous. Simply a beautiful, beautiful place.
