Hotel Astoria

the astoria in bad hofgasten is a bit of a secret and i thought more than twice before writing this review, however here goes. its a must! , the hotel is very well kept and the rooms are perfect its 4 star hotel but could be more,towels a go go, bathrobe, thermal indoor pool, sauna, turkish bath, spa, the staff are freindly,helpful and fun! a great hearty brekfast a snick snack at 3pm, and (this is the fourth time i go there in two years )dinner there is better than a lot of retaurants i have been to! so book half board. the menu changes daily.lots to drink and the prices are low! i discoverd the house wine the first time i was there ,very good.there is also rainers,a bar shaped like a beer barel where you can smoke and is frequented also by local people. the guests are a mixture of nationality's and ages,groups of friends, familys, single people,english,italian,russian, german,austrian and irish!(just to name a few)
bad hof gastein has lots to do in winter and summer, the thermal baths are everywhere, the ski possibilites are endless, wakling in the summer is beutiful, and the whole place is so well organized and the prices are fantastic.
i can tell you all this now after two years ( i and my friends didnt want it to get to crowded!!)
