Hotel Atlantica Porto Bello Beach

The situation of the hotel actual honestly said - in the no man's land - however who peace looks for, is here perfectly waived! The next locality - Kardamena - is problem-free about 3 kilometers far away and with bus or taxi to reach. To us Kardamena fell not very much, but one purchase-stroll for Urlaubsmitbringsel, etc. is always worth it. One may expect oneself here however no Nobelort!!! After Kos city the hotel offers a public bus shuttle around 6 euro back and forth, which one should take to in any case up. The normal regular bus would be too laborious and a taxi surely very expensive. The bus drives Monday, Wednesday and Friday before the hotel around 10:00 off and back from Kos city around 16:30. This time hands loosely for inspection, city-strolls and meal coffee, etc. travel time is about 1 hour for each direction. The hotel lies in the approach lane of the Kos Airport. For me as aviation-interested a dream - and the noise is not disturbing at all! Each streetcar or bus on the road is louder, and it does not concern here Heathrow or JFK in New York, i.e. the approaches are in modest extent.

The service was outstanding! Beginning with the reception, in the restaurant, the cleaning forces and all other coworkers of the house are very friendly - and one should bring them the same against politeness, which unfortunately not for all guests a matter of course was. At reception, restaurant and bar one comes through nearly everywhere also with German, English however in each case. Only at the Beach bar the service was restrained with some employees a little and the co-ordination a chaos - one should employ oneself in a queue, although behind the bar 4-5 ladies stood and were not able to serve the guests briskly and coordinates. An example: The cappuccino - which is by the way outstanding, 2-3 people one prepare fill the cup, second give the milk in and third foam the milk on…

To the catering trade one can say only one: Simply delicious and great. Detailed buffet to each meal (in the topic restaurants were not we). Naturally the kitchen plan repeats itself weekly, but since the offer at meals is so detailed, the danger hardly exists, something two times meals to have (some courts are however worth it!) In the restaurant and the bars much to cleanliness, uses table-ware is paid attention is cleared, the tables is covered immediately and the table-ware is perfectly clean always freshly.

The animation we took up not, the animators were however very nice and not importunate. The pool was very beautiful and large. We were however - up to once - only at the beach and this are very much maintained, clean and with beautiful, fine sand, which extends very far in the sea (up-poured). thus one can go without bath shoes into the highly transparent water and one can very far outside still stand. Ideally for children and floats, not in the deep water dare themselves or for nonswimmers. The beach is constantly maintained by a very friendly coworker. There are sufficient couches and screens - we came always only to the breakfast on the beach (about 9:30) and enough were free, although (and particularly at the pool) the Unart (forbidden) of the couch reservations prevails also here… In the hotel there is a shop, in which there is everything, what one forgot, or also various food and toy as well as all daily papers and magazines. Internet entrance is also offered, is however not taken up to have we (WLAN might be free, and stand also a few PC in the lobby

The rooms are sufficient in normal size, place for clothes and things. Our room was newer and thus not a worn. We had sea view with balcony. The bathroom is sufficiently roomy and it functioned everything. Mini bar was missing, but a refrigerator is in the room, just like telephone and a liable to pay the costs safe. TV-equipment with several German transmitters was also present, air conditioning system is mandatory.

Mosquito protection would not be bad, the means, which it gives to buy in the Hotelshop (gel plug, spray…) used nothing! During our stay the weather was very stifling and thus the Gelsen in the evening annoying. The Handy accessibility for was unrestricted (Austrian “orange” net). to our travel date it was very hot and stifling, unfortunately also very often nearly windless, which promoted the heat and the air humidity naturally much.
