Nice hotel but too expensive *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is right on the great pebble beach from Baska (only separated by the beach promenade). The hotel has 18 double rooms, 18 studios, 22 suites, 4 Elite Suites and 2 luxury suites. We had a studio that from a one-bedroom with kitchen and a bathroom. The room was in the large hotel and all very clean. It was in the week but not once through swept and even the beds you have to make your own. Only the towels were changed. Since we had booked half board, was a rich breakfast buffet with us. Dinner could cost us 22 euros per day. Dinner is served every day from the neighboring hotel Korinthia delivered. Because the food in the many restaurants is far cheaper and probably better. I Would recommend to stay with half board. The majority of the guests were families with children. The hotel is right on the central carpark of this city and it is sometimes quite noisy at night. Relating to the organization is a little bit inflexible. After a third person attached to us and we had a double room, with a studio wanted to change according to our travel agent, it was not so easy. A studio is only for 2 adults and 1 child up to 14 years. After much bantering back and forth to our sofa bed we had another Schlafstuhl in the room.
Location
The hotel was located directly on the beautiful beach. Restaurants and entertainment possibilities were in the direct surrounding area. Excursions with the ship can rent directly. Otherwise you really need a car to the island.
The staff was, with the exception of one lady at the reception was very friendly. Most spoke German. As We mentioned our room was not cleaned. We too only had our towels replaced. Although we had a studio apartment I am not usually assumed that the room is treated as a normal hotel room.
Gastronomy
The hotel has a restaurant in which it could during rush hour. The breakfast was very rich and good. There was a buffet with sausage, cheese, fish, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, milk, sweet ... In addition, there were an area, where every day freshly cooked (bacon, scrambled eggs, vegetables ... ). The restaurant was also very clean.
Sport & Entertainment
For all activities you had to go into the neighboring hotel Korinthia. They offer a pool as well as the spa. This but we never did
Room
The one-bedroom apartment was relatively large. However, we slept on a pull out couch. At a price of about 800 € per person and alleged 4 star is not. Also the couch very uncomfortable. The room was equipped with a small kitchen was the very little in the way of decorations. Also was the dishes partially dirty. tea and coffee making facilities were also non-existent. Air conditioning, TV, balcony were ready, and the bathroom was very nice.
Tips and recommendations
During peak season between July and August is the beach over crowded. The only possibility to make sure they will have a spot, is either 6:00 get up and thoughtfully provided towels or just a towel on night. From 09:00 in warm weather, you get no space on the beach. I recommend to book a condo instead of the hotel. These are cheaper and better equipped. In Baska you can still quite cheap grocery shopping and eating.
