Nice hotel - but totally overcrowded beach! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel was built in 2008 and is located directly on the beach promenade from Baska. The rooms were big enough, with stone tiled, in double in addition the usual work desks, a sofa and a sofa-armchair. The bathroom was spotless. We had a standard apartment with a bath and to our surprise a double room (without balcony! ) as well as an attached (connecting door) double room with a small kitchen and a 2nd bathroom and balcony (to parkplatzseite). The furnishing of the appartment is a bit poor, but it does have a cooktop, a full refrigerator, dishes for three persons (although there were four of us), but no coffee maker. The balcony to parkplatzseite is from the location good for a breakfast (as in the early in the shade), however the table but much too small.
Location
The location to the beach is basically optimal - he is located directly in front of the house. Downside: The beach is public and are overcrowded!! You can for about EURO 10 two beds plus umbrella per day, but doing only made sense, on the way to the water about 20 people rising (in between there is no cm² free! ). You must, therefore, by car to visit a somewhat remote beach - bay but no hotel in this price range right on the beach.
The room cleaning was perfect, the reception spoke excellent German.
Gastronomy Unused
We stayed on a room only basis, there are plenty of restaurants in the immediate vicinity you for a dinner to visit. The price level is measured at Austrian restaurant.
Sport & Entertainment
The pool is not near the hotel atrium Residence, it was about 200 yards away in the hotel Corinthia. It consists of a large and three children's pools, since the beach chairs had to be rented (approx. EURO 10 per day for two beds and umbrella, including 2 towels). Our children in the pool, we felt very comfortable but it so often visited, as the beach because of the overbooking was for us. The Corinthia hotel itself is a *** -hotel, it makes a very überholungsbedürftigen impression, to the part comes with the pool area too.
Room
Absolutely sufficient size, nice bathroom, new furniture. Internet facilities (not wireless, but cable) in the room.
Tips and recommendations
If you want to use the beach from Baska, you should avoid the high season, they said it is much better in June and September. With pre-school children as in our case is the unfortunately no alternative. The hotel is probably due to the facilities still a very good review.
