Nice, but in the older hotel *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Attica Beach is a very large hotel area. There was a main building, in which the front desk is; breakfast and dinner are held and most of the rooms. The hotel also has added over another building ("Villa'), where more room. On the floor in front of the steps to the main entrance is the date at which the hotel was built(1992?! ). Then it was 5 * . You did notice that the hotel is older and since the probably not been redecorated or only partially renovated. I think that it the instantaneous 4 stars as it really needs a face lift. We booked half board and were with the choice of both breakfast as well as dinner generally satisfied. Apart from German guests, there were a lot of Polish guests, mostly families with young children, the hotel.
Location
The hotel is really very remote/isolated. From the main road that takes a fairly narrow road by the Olivenwald - approximately 30 minutes walk to the hotel. And it only the hotel. No pub, no bar, no shops nearby. Whoever preferred a beach/looking for a beach holiday without to leave the hotel grounds, it's no wonder. The hotel has its own beach, directly behind the pool area. The sandy beach is served each morning. The sea is very flat so very far into the sea within walking distance, before it was deep. The next town is city of Lefkimi. The hotel has its own shuttle bus, one in about 10 - 15 minutes to city of Lefkimi takes you. When we arrived there, there is actually nothing Popular attractions. We are from there twice with a bus stop direction Moraitika (nearest place with shops, bars, taverns, etc. ) and drove to Corfu city. The easy drive to Moraitika us $1,50 per person, the drive to Corfu - city 3,40 €. We were in Moraitika in about 30 min and in Corfu town in about 1 hour - of course depending on traffic and people to and exit. We had to get off on the main road (there is also the only supermarket in "the immediate" near the narrow street) and walk toward the hotel(Attention: Here one was downright attacked by the brakes - the second time, where we had to as along, I sprayed Autan bug spray, which also helped). Generally I would not only to anyone want to lie at the beach every day, recommend a car, quad or at least to rent a scooter. We rented for 3 nights a 80ccm scooter, the us 58€ + gas (for the 3 days were just 15 euros, although we used a lot and far are) cost. Only the possibility to see something of the island. Also has ample excursions at the tour operator (for example B. Meeresgrottenfahrt (36€)<---very recommended). Unfortunately we saw Corfu (unlike Germany) quite unclean. In many places is trash on the Straßenrad or into the olive groves or also old, broken cars or boats. A shame! The hotel has its own souvenir - Shop, over the but really was very expensive. A Schwimmmatte cost 8€ - the same in place Moraitika only cost 3 euros. You can get a 1 ,5L bottle mineral water at a cost of 2 euros - in the supermarket at the main street that were not even cost 1 €! The supply for the first day is this souvenir - Shop adequate, but otherwise expensive.
The staff at the hotel are really to praise. I have never been so warm and accommodating treated in a hotel. Almost all speak perfect German. The buffet was refilled quickly, as soon as something was empty. Not one found a free table immediately, the waiter for free tables were looking for a or made an empty but still dirty table immediately clean. The rooms were always cleaned well. As an additional service this probably is the child care and the Solinioklub to mention I can't say much about that. At the front desk was always friendly and courteous help.

It was a buffet, with 3 kinds of bread, 4 -5Sorten sausage, 2 -3Sorten Nutella,5Sorten jam, cheese, honey, scrambled eggs and/or boiled eggs, coffee/tea, cold/warm milk (more about that Kabapulver), orange, grapefruit juice, water, muesli, quark and fruit. Something for everyone! Evenings there was a large buffet with many different salads, tons of different meat dishes as well as pasta, rice and fries. Also a varying dessert was available. I found the meat dishes not so good although I like to eat meat. As the salad buffet was so big, I have always found something delicious and was satisfied! When we arrived at the hotel you get Bons for drinks - one drink per person and night. You want more, you have to pay. But the prices were very good. The food itself was wine, beer, water, iced tea and soft drinks. The first day we went out to eat at 7pm. The was a pure buffet and Sitzplatzschlacht. The other days we always around 19 :30am. As were the first ready and it was not as busy and crowded.
Sport & Entertainment
Beach and pool were very nice. The pool was very well maintained and renovated impression. Beach chairs and umbrellas were free of charge and sufficiently available. At the beach there were also enough pool chairs and available free of charge. The water was really clean and clear. Unfortunately, there was no shower near the beach/pool - at least we didn't find any. Only a foot shower the transition from the beach to the pool area was available. From the pool to the beach and the pool bar - it's small. The prices were not cheap, but still within acceptable limits (coffee 1,50 €, chip laden 2€, went to eat at CEASARE 9€ ice 2€) The hotel has two billiard tables, a large chess set, table tennis, two fruit machines, and a tennis court. The activities in the evening were unfortunately not very animierend. A there was no disco. The bar is decorated with dark-wood furniture. For one or two drinks very adequate. An evening we decided we wanted not stay there!
Room
Our room (408 ) was in the main building, ground floor. The size of the room was fine for two people. However, you can tell that it is an old hotel and the furniture probably never replaced/changed. Plenty of storage space (a 4 -türiger closet, a modestly equipped and two Nachttischs) was available. The beds are however very paarunfreundlich, since even if you are pushed together, nor a big gap between them. The furnishings are heavy and dark brown and leave the room rather dark and being unfriendly. The bathroom is very small room with a combination shower/tub. Especially the fixtures and the levels should be here time needed to be replaced!!! Air conditioning was available, but only for a fee. But we didn't need. Fridge was available too. Each room has, as far as we could see, either a terrace or balcony, which I really liked and which we used them every day!
Tips and recommendations
Definitely a scooter or even rent a car! Good don't forget to use mosquito repellent! If you like very hot like should be between July and August resort (up to 40°) We had mid-September afternoon up to 30°, which suits us was enough! There are many families with small children in the hotel, which at dinner because of the Lautstärkepegels noticed!
