Hotel Barcelo Santiago in Los gigantes, four stars deserved! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe stayed in the hotel for twelve days a pleasant stay there. There were a lot of English people there, but there were no problems. A strong praise the staff of the hotel, a great job. Especially the waiters and bar keepers had all hands fully to do and were always friendly and nice. The breakfast I can add, since it nothing missing. Of course, there was also the lunch and dinner was good. Some repetitions are included, but it wasn't't so bad. The dining room was quite large and was at certain time much hustle and bustle. But in larger hotels that is normal and where it was the food and drink was always something going on. A beach in front of the hotel is unfortunately not available. The beach is in the catalog, you can't really be described as such. But already geahndt that the beach was not so great is. We stayed at the pool area. But if you need a beach, you could reach by foot in a quarter of an hour. (Playa Los Guios) in Los gigantes, or in the other direction the beach of Playa de la arena. The view from the hotel is really great. You can see the rocks of Los gigantes and with good weather the island of La Gomera and the Teide. We had three days a rental car and excursions to the loro park, the Teide national park and to masca gorge. The trips were all great on your way. The entrance in the loro park I thought that was a bit too expensive, but you get a lot and should take into account the whole day. Las Americas is in a shopping center cheaply, especially cigarettes and perfume. At a rental car it is quite fast. There are three agencies around the hotel. Spritpreis for 1 liter of super-about 1 euros. My conclusion: A great vacation, good hotel, nice weather, saw a lot! For questions I am available any time.
