Hotel Bay Village

5 minute walk to the sea. Area information right next to it, unless you need nothing to offer the hospital. If you wanted to go to the tourist center of Cairns need each time a half-hour walk to this side. The location of this hotel is absolutely NOT to be recommended!

At the front desk, inter alia German spoken. With one exception are on the reception they were all very helpful and friendly. They gave us a twin bedroom. We didn't try the restaurant. The breakfast was included in the price. However the selection was very very poor. Those who complete scrambled eggs with bacon wanted - could AUSD 9 , -- per person will be charged. A much too high price for the not very sizeable scrambled eggs.

Room is ok. Unfortunately spent almost no room balcony. The rooms are arranged so that you can just walking by. opened onto directly. Therefore reply was always blinds. There were always Sesselgruppen before the entrance. If you want you can foreign uninspiring so it's right in front and look in. Fan and air conditioning only work if you are in the room.

Those who like it quiet you could want to recommend this hotel. As we had booked an excursion every day, it wasn't so bad that this hotel is completely out of the center. If you want something from Cairns itself, you should book a hotel in the center - there are enough. Cairns itself has of course no beach. But it was an artificial lagoon (resembles a huge public pool - free access) in the middle of Cairns created. It's bear in Cairns!
