Superior class, but no 5 stars *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AAge and condition were in the optimally well kept. However, when one associates the excellent architecture and the objective size (cubic meters of interior space), with the garden- and pool facility, - as well as the chargeable beach use (at a 5 star hotel) - then the landscape designer (incl. constructor) must have made a difficult compromise. Otherwise, in terms of business resources, handicapped accessible - ok.
Nationalities and age average are not significant for a hotel rating.
Location
Alcudia. Facility faces right on the main road. Alcudia/Picafort. Noise is not necessarily annoying (at a 5 star hotel, one can, however, disagree). No disturbance from near-by hotels. Transportation was okay. Respectively, other facility descriptions wouldn't offer much further indications.
Friendliness & service (as well as room service) - optimal. Same applies for the checking -in (cocktail reception). Room cleanness - optimal.
Gastronomy
About the cleanness and hygiene as a whole, there's no complain whatsoever.
The selectable quality of the drinks is okay.
Meals/Buffet - good quality (=4 stars). The quantities are likewise okay, but almost no variety.
3 additional restaurants:
1. a' la Carte - simple cuisine, half of the menu choices do not exist.
2. Vesta (Italian) - very good cuisine (qualitywise & imaginativeness)
3. Hoshi (Japanese) - good cuisine
The bar has comfortable seating potentials, but is not recommendable in the evenings due to the loudness of the activities.
Sport & Entertainment
There's no boutiques, or discos.
Swimming-Pool and Pool-Bar have similar seating potentials - okay.
Fitness/Wellness incl. Sauna - very good.
The passage to the non-private beach is poor, the beach itself - okay.
Room
The room incl. the bathroom is well arranged and is on everyday basis newly equipped and very well cleaned respectively. Likewise, the TV and the other technical devices are o.k.
Double Room - the facility is not totally bad, although very clairaudient (street, stone floor, therefore very hygienic).
Garbage disposal (4-5 o'clock in the mornings) and above all, the glass-containers (hotel use) have an extremely negative impact.
Tips and recommendations
Alternative hotel - Botel Alcudiamar in Alcudia Port approx. 5km away. 4 stars, cheaper and better. Above all: same Hotel-Groups with Palace de Muro.
