Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe were for five days in hotel Playa la arena to us the island and their regions more closely. So not only to to spend a beach holiday. We were also shortly before the high season.
The hotel is really beautiful, the staff is more beautifully appointed and ability to communicate in foreign languages. The food in the restaurant was very good. It is each evening another theme. America, Spain, Germany, italy, Mexico, canary islands, ... The food was very balanced and it should find something for everyone taste his. With the exception of the Canaris Chen is the evening I were good. Hors d'oeuvres buffet, main and dessert buffet with daily changing self-made ice-cream round the culinary. start to our arrival was the hotel well visited, but still not fully. The was also the reason, why to any hour at the pools a pool chair with a cushion and an umbrella got. As at the end of our week in Spain losgingen the holiday, the hotel was overrun with Spanish formal. Beach chairs with cushions at the pool the were still not tight, but you would expect this, you must do without on an umbrella. The general feeling in the hotel has suffered a little under many, many new arrivals. In the restaurant it was much louder, at the reception you also had to wait a few minutes. But the was still in the green area. So really no problem. Only, the possibility should probably has if you rather not go in the main season, since it is then einfrach much quieter. The hotel is in great condition, beautifully landscaped with lots of palm trees and marble entrance area. So, it was really everything great. If I return on tenerife amchen should, I will definitely again to the Playa la arena.
We must say but also, that you do a little off the beaten path is. We had the full eight days a rental car and the was also great. You can park in the hotel's free underground parking.
It is in the town only a few small shops (supermarket, shops electric, restaurants).
So if you want to see something of tenerife, must rent a car.
To empfhelen it is: loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz, the old town of La Laguna, the North-west of Icod to garachico. In Icod the 700 years old dragon tree is really worth seeing.
