Stylish city hotel *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel looks from the street unimpressive, but upon entering the foyer is clear, as it is stylish and well maintained. the Becquer decorated. The guests were international: tourists, business services, conference participants.
Location
To reach the hotel from the airport, unless by taxi, or via the airport bus 'EA' to Prado and tram "T1" until Plaza Nueva. From here it is a 10 minute-walk through Calle Zaragoza. The city center is not far from the hotel, as well as the waterfront. Tapas bars, restaurants and gelaterias in the area there plentiful. Supermarkets, however, you have to look for. A located in the basement of the mall "El Corte Ingles", across the church "La Magdalena". An even bigger "El Corte Ingles" is still a bit further north on the Plaza Duque.
The staff was always attentive and friendly. If I got farther with my Spanish, English you immediately changed. Room cleaning was spotless. At the reception, we could free wireless Internet access in the lobby a laptop for rent.

I only booked breakfast and that is the biggest gripe I. Breakfast itself offers the usual reasonable quality. As an area but serves the indoor courtyard in the back of the hotel building, with its black stone floors, cold light and the cool walls, everything other than inviting.

Room
I was traveling alone, but in a double room. The size was adequate for two people, the decor stylish and well maintained. The bathroom is a bit small but furnished to a high standard, with an infrared lamp. An air-conditioner is available, as well as TV with 4 German channels (ARD, RTL, DSF, euronews), a refrigerator and minibar, kettle, telephone and a safe-deposit box, whose key at 10 € security deposit. at the front desk. Balcony or terrace with my room on the 3rd floor, not even the windows did not open to the courtyard. The door to the hallway was quite noisy.
