Excellent value for money despite strong Sfr
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThis is how a Swiss family-owned hotel should be run. It manages to strike the right balance between informality and professionalism.
Location
Ideally situated for the town, spa facilities, transport and cable cars - and can walk out directly to wonderful hiking routes.
Cannot fault the service most areas although sometimes a little slow when the hotel restaurant bar and restaurant was at capacity.
Gastronomy
An excellent blend of local and European cuisine, a good wine list including an impressive selection of Swiss wines, and superb breakfasts!
Sport & Entertainment
Great to have direct, covered access to the public spa (Bogn Engadina)
Room
South facing mountain view rooms are excellent especially those with balconies, and rooms are being upgraded to improve bathrooms and decor
Tips and recommendations
Need to provide free WiFi in all rooms - as Swisscom access charges are too high. Take a look at what is done in Scandinavian countries with regard to Internet access in rooms (although the lobby computer is thankfully free). excellent value for money - and summer is cheaper than winter rates!
