Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThis hotel was very pleasant. The size was well arranged, yet far enough to not feel cramped. The rooms were clean and neat. Little things, such as a second pillow, the flowers in the vase and also the instructions for the TV were usual and did not need to be requested first. Altogether this hotel was described as a friendly, family managed hotel.
A balanced and rich breakfast gave a good start in the new day. If anyone wanted, also half board could be booked which was a good suggestion. Every evening there was a 3 course meal, carefully personally created by the hotel chef and were served by a very attentive staff.
At our holiday there were same aged and also older tourists present, with no communication difficulties at all.
Location
Only a few kms away from Gersfeld, halfway to the Wasserkuppe, the hotel was located away from the main road, hidden behind a row of trees, in Gersfeld - Obernhausen. A good starting point for hikes through the Rhoen and its many historic sights.
Courteous and prompt service continued during our whole vacation.
Gastronomy
A well-kept, rustic furnishings in the breakfast room, like in both taverns brought us back to the comfortable 1970 's.
