Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A ATrotz der guten (technischen) Ausstattung und des guten Service durch das Personal entspricht das "Bologna" nicht unseren Vorstellungen von einem 4-Sterne-Hotel. Unser Zimmer war ca. 12 qm "groß", das Bad keine 3 qm. Man wusste kaum, wo man seine Hygieneartikel unterbringen sollte. Unser Zimmer lag zur Straße hin, einer engen Gasse, die unter anderem auch durch Linienbusse frequentiert wird. Das Haus gegenüber wird zur Zeit umgebaut (Preßlufthämmer ab 8.00 Uhr morgens). Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr klein, so dass die Kellner ständig neu eindecken müssen, wenn wieder ein Platz frei wird, um überhaupt alle Gäste unterzubekommen. Durch die Enge und das ständige Gewusel ist es ziemlich ungemütlich. Da das Büfett auch eher schwach ist, haben wir uns nicht lange beim Frühstück aufgehalten.
Pisa bietet im Vergleich zu anderen Städten in der Toskana nur relativ wenig Sehenswürdigkeiten, die man eigentlich bei einem Tagesausflug ab Florenz oder Siena abhaken kann. Die Gastronomie ist meistens auf die Bedürfnisse und die Geldbeutel der zahlreichen Studenten zugeschnitten (Cafes, Pizzerien). Wer sich trotzdem ins Hotel Bologna in Pisa verirrt, dem möchten wir das kleine sardische Restaurant "Il Nuraghe" (schräg gegenüber) wärmstens empfehlen. Es ist preiswert, bietet ein gutes Angebot an sardischen, toskanischen und Fischgerichten, eine angenehme Atmosphäre und sehr nette Bedienung.
