Hotel Botanico

te hotel is situated in La Paz a quiet residential area. there are good travel connections to and from the centre of Puerto both with the hotels courtesy transfer bus or tax the public bus service titsa has numerous and affordable routes to all places of interest in Teneriffa. the stops are close to the Botanico. There are many good organised tours of the island. the three pools at the Botanico compensate well for the abscence of good beaches in the vicinity of Puerto. There are good household name supermarkets within easy walking distance

All staff ranging from senior management down to chambermaids and restaurant service staff were more than friendly and helpful and had no problems with the variety of languages sopken . minor problems were resolved immediately by either reception staff or the public relations officer. Rooms were cleaned daily and bedlinen changed at ones request

The Botanico has three restaurants with national flair which present a good variety and quality of both national and international dishes. the service is good and friendly. the breakfast consists of a well stocked buffet which is taken in pleasant surroundings either in doors or weather permitting outside by the pool. Certain for drinks in the restaurants could be considered to be expensive, but the choice is yours. If one seeks a change then there any a number of small restaurants within easy walking distance

The Botanico offers tennis and putting within its grounds and the spa area has a well defined programme for those who are more energetic. If one is seeking a"ballerman" feeling or mass organised games for either adults or children then the Botanico is not for you the balconies to the rooms are very spacious and the gardens offer many quiet corners where one can relax if the pool side area is not what you are seeking

The bedrooms are of good size and are equipped with with a superb television facility accommodating channels in many languages, the bathrooms are well lit and ventilated with bath, wc, bidet, and shower. bathroom linen is changed daily or at your request. the hotel supplies bath robes and slippers. the beds are turned down every evening and guests are given a small night time chocolate and a copy of the following days events the rooms have a fridge with mini bar, a safe and telephone and are decorated in a peasing style matching the overall concept of the hotel..quality with a charming conservative approach

If you want to stay at the Botanico, book early and if important you can ask for a particular room to be reserved for you. we have been there four times in the last three years and will certainly be going again. I hope that there is room for us at the inn.
