For those seeking peace and quiet *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AHotel area was nicely laid out, staff very friendly, except for boss and manager. Food is not very varied but not bad either. Rice, chicken and fish almost daily. Salads and desserts also available daily. You shouldn't forget that we are talking about "Venezuelan" 3 -stars. You could almost think that you're in Spain. No parties or entertainment. Just taking a break from everyday life and enjoying the beautiful day. If you enquire about a guy called Uwe on the beach you will soon find a German dropout who will help with words and deeds.
Location
Walk to the beach in 4-5 minutes. Shopping was only possible in the shops of the hotel or in San Pedro, about a 30 minute walk along the beach. Trips to Isla Margarita are only to be recommended with some reservations. The crime rate is quite high. Snorkelling trips with "Robb" are interesting for people who have little snorkelling experience. The underwater world doesn't have much of a variety to offer for experts.
Staff are friendly, the same thing however cannot be said about the hotel's manager and boss. 95% speak only Spanish.
Gastronomy
Quality and style are Venezuelan (similar to Spanish). You should never forget where you are. The locals are very delighted about tips.

You are in Venezuela. You won't find any entertainment.
Room
Plain and simple but completely okay for the price.
Tips and recommendations
You can also take Euros and Dollars to the island. Foreign exchange rates there are better than they are at the airport.
