Hotel Brunnerhof

Hotel is just on the entry to small village Rasen and it has enough place for parking. You can reach village center on foot, and skiing facilities are just 10 minutes away by car. Town Brunico is about 20 minutes by car and you can reach it in no time if you are looking for some shopping facilities. If you are a cross country skier than you will enjoy it as the track is just in front of the hotel. Hotel is near the road so if there is a snow falling in the night you could hear snowplow cleaning the road.

Staff is very friendly although we had one argue about coming on dinner at strict time as they planned. As we were on holidays we did not expect that somebody would rush us to dinner. Although the food was excellent, and staff very friendly I would recommend them that if the dinner or breakfast is from one time to another time than they should serve it whenever we come between those required times. Dinner was really something special, and every evening you could see effort they gave to serve the tables. Breakfast was OK but the variety could be a little better. We got eggs every second day but otherwise it was OK.

I could only say excellent. One or two evening a little bit salty but nothing to disturb you. We had only problem with the menu as it was written by hand sometimes we could not read it. It would be usefull to have the menu in German and Italian for the guest which are talking that languages or even in the native language of the guest which are in the hotel (and there was over 20 of us)

I did not have enough time to go to saunas but my friend said that it was not good as they were not turn on on time so sauna was cold by the time he got in after all day on the hill skiing. There are no activities for kids so do not expect that your kid will have place to play. Internet access is wireless but you have to pay for it, it is not free. It works in all hotel, even in the bathroom

Room was clean and nice. Furniture new, TV rather small with only few German and Italian programs. Could be better but I did not watch TV so it doesn't matter to me. You do not have minibar in the room. In the wardrobe you can find safe for you belongings but the staff was really polite so I even left my laptop and other things few times on the desk and everything was there when I came back.
I have to admit that the bed for my child was not what we expected. It was not normal bed (mattress on mounting bed) and it was positioned in the part of the room with the table so you could not open the wardrobe. It is not definitively a family room but a nice room for a couple.
One thing more. It is funny but our room was above the kitchen and in the evening you could hear chopping of stakes bellow as so if you need a quite room look for room further above 116.

I would recommend this hotel to the people who are all day out of the hotel (skiing, mountaineering) and when they come back they are looking for warm and friendly staff, good food and no special excitement in the hotel.
