Blue Marino in the off-season end of October *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A ABeautiful panorama restaurant in the fifth floor was already closed, exactly the same as the cocktailbar in front of the hotel. Breakfast (buffet) was offered therefore in the small TV and lounge room in the ground floor. Interesting was the lift with panorama window outside. This was to be entered also directly from outside, so that one did not have to enter through the hotel lobby. The hotel was in a very good condition. If one was in the room, this was indicated from the outside by a red small lamp beside the door.
Location
Perfect location only separated by the coastal street from the water and port separated, most beautiful building at the town, Cala Gonone was about 2 hours away over highway and roads from Olbia. The hotel was very easy to find, always drive direction port (then on the left side).
Hotel staff was very friendly, at the reception good English was spoken. In the lounge an internet computer was offered (4 euro per hour).
Gastronomy
Restaurant closed, good breakfast in buffet form in the ground floor, delicious cappucino, different sorts granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, croissant, bread rolls, cheese and sausage (always one sort), jam, juice
Sport & Entertainment Unused
On the hotel roof was a beautiful sun terrace, on which one could also use apparently in the summer a whirlpool.
Room
Standard room without balcony (ocean view with balcony cost 20 euro extra daily), high ceilings, TV (only ZDF as German program), telephone, individually adjustable air conditioner, no WLAN, small refrigerator, relatively firm however small (180 cm) mattresses.
Bathroom: Modern round shower, bidet, window, hair dryer, water pressure very good, water temperature was ok.
Tips and recommendations
We booked the hotel over „Sardinia Open Voucher Program“ offered in co-operation with TUIfly (29, 99 euro per person and night for hotel and rental car). Here it was to be considered however that the breakfast in this hotel was not included (8 euro per person) and with the rental car only 100 km per day were free (after it 0, 20 euro per km). Own risk of 1000 euro to pay, otherwise 15 euro per day.
