great atmosphere, but... *

we had a suite, which was nice, but basically only a larger hotel rooms. The furnishing was not in the newest condition, but for the ambience of the castle. The beds were very, very soft and moved in addition apart. A real downside -for one 'suite' was the tiny and quite outdated bath.
the atmosphere in the castle is unique and really beautiful, but they are maybe a little too much on this. At Least our room would one renovation require. The carpet was in certain places already badly stained. And the in the meantime common standards such as for example in-room safe.
in the restaurant there is similar. The furnishing the knight cellar is great and an experience in itself. The food is tidy, solid, but not outstanding.
from the breakfast we were more pleasantly surprised, because we no longer have any expectations set. It matched however more like a three star hotel, as we believe that the whole house.
the staff were all around very friendly and competent.
general is the value for money. An order that the room service with 7,50 euros surcharge per supply accounts, kept us however from, to do so. This is overpriced.
it was altogether a pleasant stay, even if I now turn to the critical points. It is great, to one Castle to stay. The view from our room was great, the surrounding area is nice, but very rustic. Without car you were in a fix. Marburg is worth a trip.
