Great hotel in the center of Edinburgh *

Location
From Edinburgh pleasantly surprised - were there for 3 days but the location of the hotel allows you see really much - recommend tour with the Citybussen - hop on and hop off (info and tickets at the hotel (try combined ticket for bus - Castle, etc. - George Street take great for shopping - for lovers fancier perfumes definitely visit Penhaligon's, (cost the 1/2 compared for example to Italy) - tip for restaurants: The whichery (from the concierge reserve them and must be Fenstertisch charge)
Front desk very courteous and helpful - concierge great room spic
Gastronomy
Restaurant Pompadour highly recommended - great set menus for a small price breakfast was the only negative aspect of the hotel - staff overslept and listless and the choice of meats for more so than most Hiltons under any review - unfortunately big minus

Pool and sauna typical city hotel - small and uninteresting

Executive room only recommendable, separate living area - two TVs - and great bed/what more could you ask for

There were in November - does rain ... We visit Edinburgh safe a second time and come back to the Hilton
