Never have we enjoyed Greece as much as in Kerkyra.
Captain Homer's studio added considerably to our daily delight: clean, well-equipped, very white walls, dark furniture, and a breathing green curtain all around: garden plants, shrubs and groves from your balcony to the horizon.

At night we heard only cicadas, birds, lonesome dogs and a couple of mad motor-scooters.

It's a ten-minute walk to a broad sandy beach, to tavernas and super-markets, places of peace and rather high prices (which are, however, even higher in other villages).

The landlord is also a captain, his wife serving as his crew.
If you behave well, he might invite you to a cruise.
If so, you will see dolphins and taste delicious salads.
All in all, booking a studio with Captain Homer is a bargain, difficult, probably impossible to be topped anywhere in the green, green island of Corfu."
