Hotel Captain's Inn

The Captain's Inn is located in a beautiful Marina where you can find lots of restaurants, shops, supermarkets and bars within just a few seconds. The closest beach is about five minutes by foot from the hotel and for kitersurfers it takes about five minutes by Tuc-Tuc which is an experience one must not miss!
There are lots of excursion possibilities like diving, snorkeling or kiteboarding.
The closest airport would be Hurgharda which is about 30 km away from El Gouna itself. But there are lots of transports that are good value.

The staff really were one of the friendliest and kindest people we've ever met at a hotel. They were always in a good mood and really helpful when it came to explaining the surroundings, ordering transports or other activities like a snorkeling trip. The reception was manned 24 hours a day and everybody was speaking english.
The rooms were really clean and apart from the showering towels that were changed every day, you could also get new beach towels at any time.
We were more than happy with the service at the Captain's Inn!!

We had breakfast at the Captain's Inn every morning and never left the restaurant the slightest bit hungry. There was a buffet with lots of different choices every morning.
Also dinner was really good and good value. Next to the restaurant there is also a bar with lounge area outside. In general, the restaurant as well as the bar have a beautiful location - you can sit inside and outside and have a beautiful view on the Marina!

The hotel itself doesn't have a pool but every guest is able to use to pool area of two other hotels that are just a few hundred meters away. The receptionist kindly described us the way on a map when we arrived but we never got to use it because the beach was really close as well.
Because of its location, we could easily get to different shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel also has a computer with internet access near the reception.
At the marina, there were two concerts with live acts the week we stayed which was a lot of fun to go to.

The room was quite big, actually and always clean. The beds were comfortable and there was a huge TV at the wall across the beds. There was a telephone, a fridge with a mini bar that was big enough to store some bought food and also the air-conditioning was working really well and turned out to be quite handy because of the heat at night.
Depending on the floor your room is in, you either have a small terrace or a balcony. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard with huge palm trees which creates an amazing atmosphere!

Our stay at the Captain's Inn was as amazing we had hoped our trip would be! We would return there anytime!!
