Good hotel with small drawbacks *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AOn the whole we were satisfied. A few things bothered us: if you have a room in Villa Eden, it can be a bit of an inconvenience. Elevator high, about 150 meters along a course to another lift. 150 meters is not too far away, but it can be annoying, for example, if you stayed in the main building and have forgotten something, which can be a pain. The beds were too narrow (80 centimeter), the heating was switched on either too late or too early. At five in the morning, a bubbling sound came from the radiators as they were being switched on, which you woke up and in the evening at 18 o'clock. So if you for example came back from hiking at 16 o'clock, the room was cold and the bathroom too...
The food was delicious, but not at all suitable for children. There should be a menu available for children, with three courses with 'normal' portions, rather than five courses of mini portions...
The staff were very friendly, except for one gentleman. What his job was, we do not know. Manager, bar manager... Or "just" a waiter. He was definitely the oldest at the bar and was very arrogant. Only certain people were friendly. He didn't take notice of us, for example, was quiet and then greeted us.
Our maid was very nice, but unfortunately they only superficially cleaned the room and the bathroom. (Soap dish was dirty for the whole five days and there was air lying around)- the hotel has a great view in front of the lake, with the mountains are behind, just great!
