Hotel Caravia Beach

The hotel had an absolutely great location on the beach. The water was very clear, at the beach one could walk kilometers far.
The transfer to the airport took only about half an hour, depending on how many hotels were on the route.
The town itself was not very large, there wasn't either a bank or a pharmacy. But one had several times daily the possibility to ride by bus (bus stop in front of the hotel) to Kos city. In the hotel and in the immediate vicinity there were several supermarkets and taverns, at our time for the most part were already closed. (end of the season)

We had no problems with anyone, regarding friendliness. From the receptionist to the caretaker, all nice and friendly. However we had not even a slight reason to complain.
Not too much German was spoken in the hotel, but if unsure one could ask at the reception, where German was spoken perfect.
The rooms were always cleaned well and the hand towels were changed daily.

For our taste the food was fine. There was something for everyone there, sometimes also typical for the country. Every day soup, pizza, pasta dishes, salads, meat, fish, side dishes, desserts, fruit and ice cream. The drinks at dispensers were self service and the tables were cleared very quickly.

The activities team worked very hard, to motivate the few tourists who were there, without being pushy. However, it was only for 3 days, as their time was finished and they departed.
Beach chairs at the pool were free, at the beach two beach chairs and one umbrella for 6 € to rent. At the beach, showers and a beach bar were available, all-day there were snacks offered. These were also at the pool.

We knew the rooms from the last year, but this time we were on the other side of the hotel. This time we had a room with an ocean and garden view. It included a small refrigerator. Also they all had a huge picture window with shutters.
The bathrooms were spacious and were cleaned everyday.

This was the second time in this hotel and we would not hesitate to go back again. For people who want action every night, it was certainly not the place, because its location was rather still. But for relaxation and recreation just fantastic. For us the food was varied and delicious. But if one wanted a gourmet noble cuisine, then he should not choose a hotel with all inclusive.
