Hotel Casa Caletas

My Husband and I traveled here for our honeymoon. The place and location was beautiful. Unfortunately two days before we were to leave I returned to my room to find out that MY ENGAGEMENT RING HAD BEEN STOLEN! The response from the hotel and management was terrible. We were promised that the police would be called. The next day we attempted to talk to the owner who was there; he refused and took off in his helicopter. We were then assured that the police would be coming that afternoon. Instead the hotel's lawyer showed up and said the police could not come and we would have to travel three hours to the main police station to file a report. This was not possible as we were flying out early the next morning. The hotel was in no way helpful, compassionate or apologetic, if anything they were hostile towards us. They assured us that nothing like this had ever happened. We were also able to find someone who lived there to take us to the local station to file a report, so yes the police were available. It has been months and we have still not heard a word from the hotel, no apology, nothing. If you are looking for an enjoyable trip to Coats Rica DO NOT STAY HERE!
