Charming hotel for a short break *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe stayed at the Cava D'oro, the rooms are small but with great attention to detail. Closet space was not a lot but for a week it was enough. The sheets and towels were changed daily. The breakfast in the very stylish courtyard restaurant. For breakfast there were 3 die breads (toast, dark bread and a Local bread) croissants, cake, eggs, jam, sausage, cheese, cereal, quark and fruit as well as coffee, tea, juices and milk. Everything everything to get full, but not too spoiled the packaged expect a huge buffet breakfast. The guests were international couples and families with children of all ages.
Location
The hotel is right next to the city wall and therefore ideal for the old town in thoroughly enjoy a few steps. The nearby sandy beach is not the cleanest but the water is crystal clear and you could spend a whole day. Because it offers direct view of the ferry and the were provided daily arrive. Also some sailors also use this bay to anchor. The guests at this beach mostly local family and some visitors from the cruise ships dock, the expected to reach more than 1-2 hours. But, the beach is never crowded. However there was no opportunity on Pool chairs didn't need to be rented or sun umbrellas, there were no toilets. But gave shade trees and a wall. We were told that the pebble beach on the tip of Rhodes Neustadt is to the a 20 minute walk or a few stops away on the bus also goes no toilets. Also you had to go there adjacent restaurants to visit.
The owners and staff were always very friendly and helpful.
