Hotel Cerere

The hotel Cerere in Paestum is a very nice and modern hotel. The outward appearance and the reception area, and also the several dining rooms are very tastefully decorated and very, very clean.
Unfortunately the room could not keep up there really.
The size of the room aside, consider the case are small, what I personally but not too important, they are quite dark due to the rather old furniture and dark carpet tranquil.

The toilet is also very small, but perfectly adequate for their purpose.
Including shower and bidet.

The room would be but also the only downside to the whole hotel.
The food was excellent, for example, up on very, very few exceptions, starter and dessert, it was never a repeating sequence of the food.
The food was selected from a menu with various courses to their own taste and request, whether fish or meat or vegetarian only stayed in a leave itself. It was plentifully supplements such as salads, different very tasty prepared vegetables, potatoes, fries or croquettes.

The breakfast was the same boring as almost everywhere in italy, two sorts of cold meat, cheese, a sort of, something jam and nutella.
There were not that tasty 'Crescent' ☺ Been, which was really very large and with different fillings to have were, jam, chocolate, pudding or even without filling.
Coffee was from the machines it, different types, which were all very good.

The hotel is located in a very convenient location, since it leaves you when you come to a crossroad to the right, maybe five minutes away, where there is a small shop in the you can buy everything, from chocolate chips on, from beer water, cigarettes and alcohol U. S. wireless.
Not to forget could be reached along also a gift shop, full of beautiful pottery, memory and dust seine like.
In the left direction brings you jump to the beach, about 300 to 400 meters far, a nice walk with the one on the half-way point in a small, but fine gelateria dropping, which you should definitely stay.
Four large cups with three to four balls Italian ice cream you got there for ten Euros, unötig to say the the ice cream, cakes, as well as the fantastic taste there.

The beach itself is very beautiful, a private beach, fine brown sand and only at the beginning of the water a few pebble stones.
September we had on some days in the beach almost for us alone, the water was beautiful and warm, the sea simply amazing.
In the evening it is to see beautiful sunsets.

Of course you can also make trips, a rental car is however, convenient, since different places like pompeij, herculaneum, Vesuvius or Naples the nevertheless quite far away, is it good to Naples a hour. Salerno is better with the car to reach also. From buses I saw in the fourteen days not the slightest trace, although they should operate.
Trips are also available from the hotel, unfortunately no prices were evidently and I had already booked in advance.
Pompeij, herculaneum and Vesuvius were very recommended.

All in all a very nice area with a great hotel and very good food, if you're looking for party there is the big but wrong.
