Boutique hotel in the French Quarter *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel has the charm of the 19th century, you think every moment came a lady characteristic Südstaatenkleid with umbrella around the corner. The exterior is a non-descript hotel. The lobby is small and chic with charm. The elevator recalling that recently a hurricane the state in the state of emergency left. The rooms are cozy and clean. The only downside is, it is a bit older. But it is a boutique hotel with character and no chain hotel.
Location
The hotel is located at the junction Canal Rd and Decatur St, which is right in the Quarter and 5 minutes away from the Mississippi. Only the parking is rare in this area benches. A few blocks away at the Warehouse District cheap parking for $15 per night, including guarded.
The ladies at the reception were very friendly and helpful. Hinterlistig however that they a Internetzuschlag of a $4 /night, even if we had to pay service not claim. Quote "It's a mandatory charge".
Gastronomy Unused
Next door is an Italian restaurant, the European standard. You may well be described as Osteria.
Sport & Entertainment
There is no pool and no gym, cable TV and internet. But what can you swim in New Orleans, there are countless other things to do and see.
Room
Everything was clean, but old. Comfortably furnished rooms with charm. In the bathroom you see the mold was under the paint time, but this is America, this is New Orleans, of which the world has not under.
Tips and recommendations
New Orleans is a little "strange". People seem but very cheerful. We were Tributes from foreign people who that our shoes are great and welcome to New Orleans feel welcomed. The woman at the front desk said, the people are just happy. The Bourbon Street is just around the corner. A tourist highlight, thousand bars with live music and restaurants, Rotlichtcabarets, etc. Interesting is the custom that people colorful chains of the 1900s, the balconies the people on the street zuschmeißen stroll. It is also allowed to go to buy a beer and open beer. Because you are tolerant.
