Hotel Clarion Park Avenue

The hotel is centrally located in the Park Avenue and is therefore for a visit New York's highly recommended. Some points such as the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, Madison Square Garden or the Times Square are within walking distance. Based on the nearby subway station but all destinations in New York very easy to reach. For the transfer to/from the airport, we chose Supershuttle. This shuttle service you can already book online and costs $15 to $20 per person. A taxi would including fees and advice on a fixed price of $55 cost. The access to the airport by public transport is not ideal. They need to do with the AirTrain into Queens and then take the subway to the hotel. As you have to change here several times and we had a lot of luggage, we did.

In the breakfast room is a service staff member, the for the re the food and drinks, the clearing of the tables and the service from the waffle iron that is responsible. very busy at this person sometimes overstrained. Overall work here but everything went smoothly. The front desk staff is friendly and very helpful. Here there were no complaints. The cleaning of the room was also immaculate. Other services were not offered my knowledge.

At the Clarion only a breakfast, this each guest receives free. The offer consisted of bagels, packaged pastries (croissants, muffins, snails, pastries, etc. ), Cereal, waffles (on request), jam, cream cheese, coffee, orange and apple juice and a small fruits. There is nothing fancy but good to start the day. The breakfast room is a bit small, so that it could happen that you have to wait. The cleanliness was in order. Tip for the service staff member provides a glass on, they are not explicitly redeemed, as the sometimes in the United States.

The room at the Clarion are pretty small and included an LCD TV, air conditioning, coffee machine, a telephone and a safe. The cleanliness was in order, but overall, the rooms are a little worn. We had a room which was served as an Evasion way. About a block from there the next building wall, so that we hardly had natural light. That said, we had no problems with noise, like any other guests with rooms facing the street.

New York is one of the few American cities, where you can do almost everything without a car. The Clarion is not walking distance to reach you don't want/perfect with subway. The subway is cheap and certainly the fastest transportation in New York. You can choose the subway lines within a station free transfer.
