Dreadful hotel

Theannex room with two very small windows was dirty, the sheets were ripped, covered in hair and one mattress was covered in blood,the air con was broken and they decided to send someone at 5am to fix it after we had arrived at 3am, then we were woken by builing work at 6am. On getting up on the 1st morning we saw the true state of the room , there were cigarette butts on the floor, bare wires in the shower and a fridge full of mould with the door hanging off!!
I contacted the rep and asked that we moved or flown home, he viewed the room and agreed to move us to a small family run hotel around the corner which although basic was very clean and welcoming and had rooms that shamed the so called four star hotel Club Arrina. Sadly we still had to eat at the Arrina, where the dining room is scruffy,dirty and needs refurbishing.The food is repetative and if you get up late almost non existant at breakfast. The dining room is like a cattle market at meal times and there were guests who were not keen to wait in a queue , the hotel appears to welcome Russians, Poles and Germans ,sadly as Brits we did not feel welcome in the hote., It was a totally different story in the resort which was lovely and the bar/ cafe owners were very welcoming, we ended up eating out a number of days as there was such a repetative menu in the hotel. We loved Turkey and its people,went on some fab excursions and would go back but not to this hotel - there is nothing id recommend about it to be honest.
Id also say bear in mind Tukeys hotel ratings as 4* are probably nearer 2*
