Es Talaial Aptos/Hotel in Cala Egos Resort
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AGuests mixed German 70% / Dutch 20% / other 10% - in single room (12 nights), All-inc. Very decent 3 *** Apart/Hotel, oversized room compared to standard hotel, although it is designed to fit 4 (family). This hotel I think as not always been an All-inc hotel, because all rooms have still got self-catering facilities e.g. hob/fridge even if All - inc. My room had king bed, sofa bed, table/chairs, hob/fridge and bathroom with 3rd floor partial sea view. This hotel suited me best because I flew over last-minute to be with other family members they where at the more British 3 *** Hotel Marina Skorpios less than 10 mins walk - away. Es Talaial Aptos/Hotel was excellent value the 12 night stay cost £369 (£33 pn), Hotel Marina Skorpios qoated £1116 (£93 pn), both mid-June. I can tell you the food was much better at Es Talaial compared to Marina Skorpios, I ate breakfast at Marina Skorpios and the hot section was luke-warm. Es Talaial is not sutible for Brits with kids under 12, unless you speak German everything is geared towards the Germans
Location
Very nice cove beach 1 mins walk, shopping 2 mins walk. Also used Hotel Marina Skorpios cove beach very nice too, both have shawlow warm water good for snorkling (no moterized water sports), you can fish of the rocks best time is 5PM. You can board the Star Fish Catamaran boat excursion
at both beachs, cost around 18-20 EUR for half day, visits other resorts. We hired a moterized rib/speed 15-20 mph) boat via Porto Petro 5 mins taxi ride-away (6 adults 4 hours 150 EUR (reservation required) well worth, visit and expolre other resorts at your lesuire *****. Plenty of shops/supermarket/eats on the strip, for better shopping go to Cala D'or there are tuns more 45 min walk or 5 mins by taxi 5.50 EUR
All Staff very freindly, most multi fulent
Room service cleaned 5 out of 7 days, some draw-backs bed linen only once per 7 days
make use of the laundry room, only 3.00 EUR for anytime key access, not coin operated. Only one washer and dryer, but not widley used by all guests
Hotel Doctor visits twice daily, but on-call 24-7

Can use room phone to call anywhere, get a 5.00 EUR phone card from internet cafe on strip
