Excellent in all areas
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A Awe stayed in a junior suite as the price was good.these rooms are large with a lounge area but the room did not have a balcony.the hotel had just over 300 rooms and had 5 pools and everywhere was spotlessly clean.all the staff whether it be management,cleaners,entertainers or gardeners all work very hard.the restaurant staff do a brilliant job providing meals and making bread.we stayed all inclusive which meant all inc as evrything was free,even the al a carte restaurants.the hotel caters for every age and really looks after the young children.if you want to take part in activities they will welcome you,if you want to relax you are not pushed to do anything
Location
the area around the hotel does not urge you to go out of the hotel as there are only a few shops and restaurants.the hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport
and you can get taxis to the next small town and also the capital houmt souk.there are plenty of excursions to go on.we did the day trip to where the film
star wars "phantom menace was filmed.it is a full day out and worth the trip.we had lunch out at a local hotel which was good.in the whole day you will cover over 200 miles
you do not have to speak to the staff as they speak to you first.most understand english but most speak french and most of the management speak more than one language.the rooms are well cleaned every day and there are laundry services and medical staff available.we had no complaints
Gastronomy
there three other estaurants besides the main one.there was a different theme in the main restaurant every night and the staff went to a lot of treouble to set up the restaurant.it would take too long to describe all the food but which ever country you come from there is something for everyone including the children.the dining areas were all kept clean.there are some boxes near reception if you wish to tip individual departments or if someone has done very well you can give it to them personally.
Sport & Entertainment
it has been said that between 0800 and midnight there are about 120 activities you can enjoy,enough said.the hotel section of the beach is cleaned every day but the sea brings in a type of seaweed and horses and camels are up and down the beach all day so you get an amount of dung on the beach.the are quite a few activities on the beach also free.
Room
we had a junior suite which has a lounge area.two basins in the bathroom,flat screen tv fridge topped up with juice but we did not have a balcony and the room was kept clean.
Tips and recommendations
be wary of being taken to carpet shops.the staff are very pushy and if you have little money you can pay by card at the hotel.the weather was great from mid june to the end of the month with temperatures ranging from 26-32 degrees
