In the heart of Manhattan *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A ATypical New York hotel - narrow, high building (12 floors) rooms are clean and tidy. In this hotel there was breakfast from 7am to 11am. American breakfast which means coffee (which we found very good), bagels, toast, waffles, 3 choices for spreads (jelly, cream cheese, maple syrup) and sweet stuff for example muffins. The breakfast was OK, but there is no porcelain etc. Only paper plates, forks and polystyrene! But it will run in town! In the lobby has a PC with internet access for free, for the guests!
Location
In midtown Manhattan, perfect for the very heart of the city on foot! Corner of 5th Ave. 4 minutes to Macy's, 13 minutes to Times Square. many attractions about Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center can be reached easily on foot! Perfect for all who love shopping!
We hardly had to do with the staff, just trying to get to the check-in and check-out. In addition there was nothing to complain, friendly and helpful. we really liked the service the luggage store. Around 12 hours must vacated, we arrived late in the afternoon but from. In the meantime is the possibility to keep our luggage at the hotel. very convenient!

Room
Four of us had a room with two king size beds. These are typical high and soft. I think this is usually a double room with twin beds, as the beds were for two people rather narrow (120-130 cm). There is a walk-in closet with safe. Rooms are decorated with dark wood furnishings and deep red fabrics, floral wallpaper, carpet. Rather a bit dated but tasteful and clean. Bathrooms were rather sparse and uncomfortable, with toilet and bathtub with shower curtain, but clean and everything worked!
Tips and recommendations
We are a family of four (women) for 4 days and would this hotel again at the drop of a hat. For a short New York trip was very suitable it was located virtually everything is right on your doorstep! You are actually spend much time at this hotel ... ; -)
