New York is worth a visit *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel has 12 floors, very nice staff, rooms are ok. The noise level of the street - the whole of New York City itself is unusual for German souls of your hand, New York seem to take never from the car horns - but you have to have to get used to. The hotel is very quiet as such, at least we never heard from our neighbors.
Location
The location is ideal in the 35th Street, around the corner on 5th Ave. the Empire State Building, in the other direction the Macy's. Within a good five to ten minutes you are at the Times Square.
The staff was very accommodating. The only downside: We were on the 11th floor and the seemed to be one of the last floors, the had been cleaned (if beginning from the bottom, it is logical). so was unfortunately but on the day of arrival our room not ready to 15 hours and during the stay were the housekeeping was always very late. If you are looking for the first time sightseeing trip into the room, the room cleaning was guaranteed in the room. Otherwise we had no reason to complain.
Gastronomy
This hotel offers free breakfast. We found this very handy. Although it is a spartanisches breakfast, but we could eat our full. offered toast, cereal, eggs, butter, cream cheese, jam, coffee, tea, milk, juice. Downside is making sure that everything on paper plates were offered. Although I would easily get used but plastic knives, with which you hardly the butter to get rolls, wasn't that great. Plastic utensils but in New York City generally seems to be the order of the, at least if you snacks or Selbstbedienungsgaststätten placid atmosphere. In restaurants - which of course also more expensive - you get silverware.

Room
For two people the room was OK. We had booked a non-smoking room with Queensbett, which was large enough for couples to spend to sleep on. We had the A/C - despite the heat - seldom, she was very noisy. The room had a flat screen TV, a safe and had a free Internet access, although we didn't use it. The cleanliness is OK for the star rating. If you are looking for, you get on other services, you could corners (under the bed and under the heater), which is not clean. But I have only discovered it by accident because I was kids dropped something. Otherwise, the room was clean.
Tips and recommendations
I would book this hotel again. It really is ideally located and for its star rating fine The underground station are within the immediate vicinity of the hotel but we didn't use it, we'd rather 10 minutes for the 33th Street, it gives you the direct connection (without the need to change trains) to downtown (Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Ground Zero, Wall Street). Broadway, Times Square, Central Park everything was within walking distance, as well as a variety of shopping.
