Modern and clean hotel with little character *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AA modern, international city hotel with 350 rooms on 7 floors. Both the rooms and also the entire hotel were modern and absolutely clean. Three room categories were offered.
The guests were mostly international business travellers and couples, however the hotel might presently be quote popular and booked up in Japan.
An excellent breakfast buffet - however also for an “excellent” price - rounded up the excellent overall view of the hotel.
Location
The hotel was directly on the outskirts of Montparnasse, within walking distance (5 minutes) to the popular streets in the upscale theater and cabarett district which housed numerous restaurants and cafés.
The hotel had its own garage for guests, parking one's car there cost a small fortune at 22 Euros per night.
The Montparnasse train station with TGV and Metro wasn't even 300 meters away, the end of the line for the direct buses to the airports CDG and Orly (Air France bus), was around the corner. Therefore, arrival and departure was extraordinarily easy.
Friendly staff which was helpful at all times. Excellent English was spoken by all employees working at the reception desk.
Housekeeping was discreet, friendly, respected the signs on the door and cleaned the room perfectly.

Two restaurants and a bar covered the needs of the guests. But let's be honest: who eats at the hotel when in Paris, moreover, when Montparnasse is right around the corner?
A breakfast buffet was set up in the restaurant o'40, which offered all the delicacies associated with a four-star hotel. However, at 23 Euros, the price had reached the upper limit of what is considered tolerable.
Sport & Entertainment
Within the entire hotel area, free, comparatively quick and well functioning W-LAN connection was possible. Giving one's room number and name is all that was required in order to be able to immediately surf the Net.
Further leisure time or sports activities weren't offered by the hotel, one was simply advised of the (probably public) jogging route on the grassy roof of the train station.
Room
In the international comparison very beautiful and very well-kept room, in comparison with other Paris hotels of the same price category even completely outstanding rooms , which were also soundproofed. In the closet was a safe, which could be programmed alone. All rooms had a television.
The rooms were sufficiently large, high-quality furniture and spotlessly clean. The only disadvantage was that in all rooms the windows couldn't be opened - one was then dependent on the quiet and best working air conditioner. All rooms were furnished with an electrical water heater including offer (tea, coffee, sugar, milk, etc.).
There were three room categories:
Classic - with view of the modern SNCF buildings or the inner garden. Equipped with a comfortable and broad double bed and work surface before the window.
Superior - with view over the surrounding city section. Here even the non-alcoholic beverages were free of charge from the mini bar. The room was recognizable also from the readily available hotel slippers.
Deluxe - with view of the Eiffel tower, still roomier and furnished with an additional sofa.
