The perfect golf resort in a stunning location
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AIl Pelagone is set amongst the rolling hills of the Tuscan region and provides breathtaking views of the surrounding Tuscan landscape, whether sitting on the large generous balconies of each villa or playing on the superb 18 hole golf course. It is only ten minutes from a beautiful coastline with gorgeous medieval towns dotted around close by. But that's if you feel like leaving the hotel which is much too seductive if you are only there for a short stay like I was. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm and friendly and very happy to help which is particularly nice if you are travelling alone. The lay-out of the hotel resembles a village with villas spread out around the communal dining and bar areas. My one bedroom villa was spacious and private and looked out over the rolling hills. I had an excellent golf lesson with the golf pro and then spent four hours on one of the most beautiful golf courses I've ever played. The golf facilities are a real high-point at this hotel as is the pool area. After my golf I visited the spa and was spoilt by a very relaxing and rejuvenating massage. Dinner was a generous offering of local delicacies with superb local wines of the region. It was a very satisfying and relaxing two days and I'm definitely going back!
