Extraordinary Hotel *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AAltogether, the hotel made a very attractive, well-kept impression. The buildings were divided in several units and beverage choices were impressive. The whole area is quite compact, but fantastic; extensive lawns or plantings will you search in vain. A a construction mistake, from previous years (multitiered ruins) in bald nearby is a fly in the ointment of the otherwise villas type neighborhood.
Our room was simple and functional with kitchenette and all utensils for two people. The bathroom (with shower) was basically OK; however the ventilation may be quieter and more and the tiles, as well as the holders of the shower curtain was already longer use of. But, our room/bathroom as well as the grounds were very clean and were cleaned every day.
The staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful. In particular the restaurant service/we have very much appreciated the service.
The food (we had half board) was varied and tasty; you have to but also, of course, in specific characteristics of Portuguese cuisine you can adjust/if necessary " à la carte " avoid. The broad offer good Portuguese wines at a flat rate of 14.00 euros per flat was impressive; we have a small evening " wine-travels " used during our stay.
The hotel is more for couples, looking for some peace and tranquility. The location is very quiet (side street) out of the city center. The hotel has several small pools. Several attractive and clean sandy beaches on the rocky cliff are just a few hundred meters away from the hotel (within walking distance) to reach.
The city centre with great restaurants and shopping possibilities have visited on foot; 20 to 30 minutes you should therefor (depending on your mobility) but plan; otherwise helps a taxi or a rental car, which exploring the surroundings and visit away beaches is more helpful.
