Hotel Costa d'Or

From the airport or by palma from we have about 45 minutes by car from the hotel.
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous directly on the sea on a steep slope.
Those looking for peace and quiet, beautiful views, amazing sunsets and looking for romance is right at home here.
The hotel is located in the busy coastal road during the day mountain slope above the hotel, but you could barely hear the traffic. In the evening and at night there is hardly a car, we had a room with a balcony facing the street and have even with opened Window at night nothing belongs.
From the terrace and the pool area enjoys a spectacular view over the shimmering turquoise to bang blue mediterranean, rugged rocky coasts, pine forests and olive groves. In tight 15-20 minutes to walk a bit adventurous footpath go down to a small bay( by the pool past follow the signs, finally one had to about four meters steep coast climb-down shoes are absolutely necessary). Sandy beaches you will find here but in vain, you lay on the large rocks and must find its way into the refreshing sea has countless stones above and below water. Not particularly comfortable, but therefor one is nearly alone in the bay (we were up to six, and that in the main season) and will be rewarded with a view of bizarre rock formations and absolute peace.
The next by car reachable Bay was the cala deia, about ten minutes away, but there are only a few parking spaces available. The bay of deia is almost always completely overcrowded, and it is here or sit on rocks and stones. We are from the hotel hingewandert, the way is nothing for the faint of heart or people with fear of heights, also, you should be able to walk well. It takes about an hour and a half 1a, but the path is adventurous close to the steep coast winds along and clean is. One can recommend in any case, the delicious tapas Barrigon /el Xelini. Cheaper, but in any case just as tasty is the pizza in the 'sa Cacer ', a simple snack (the only in deia, so not to miss).
If the nightlife with clubs and bars etc. searches, is however not the place. The next town was a little nightlife is port soller, here it is worthwhile definitely an evening stroll on the beach promenade. I can recommend the restaurants edge montemar and ' el Pirata'... Both were very delicious, stylish and affordable.
The possibilities for excursions there were plenty in the area. In any case, you should make sure the manor 'son Marroig ' with the white marble temples, the lookout 'ses Animes ' and the ruins of the castell d'alaro look, the coastal road of soller to andratx and the steep coast walk along hiking- it is worthwhile.

The service staff was very nice, polite, attentive, very accommodating and unobtrusive. As you'd expect. A few words speak German all, we mostly in English.

The attached to hotel restaurant one can 'upscale' category to include. Very delicious, very high, but also reflected in the prices. Still a good price-performance level. The restaurant is also used by locals and the 'smart zugereisten ' well visited, therefore, you should reserve.

The pool area is located right below the restaurant terrace and offers a spectacular view over the mediterranean sea and the rugged steep coast. Sufficient Beach chairs were available, as well as sunshades, Tables, chairs, etc. just the sun by the pool with a glass of wine or a cool beer to enjoy and to admire the sunset...
Other activities or entertainment Facilities are not available... But if you're looking for is here wrong the... For those seeking peace the pure relaxation.

We had a double room with balcony without view of the sea booked... We got a room with two balconies, and the sea from nearly every room see. The rooms with view of the sea of course have unobstructed view of the sea. Our room (229) was a little larger than the usual double room, because the hallway, two balconies and a large bathroom with a window. Air conditioning, tv, minibar, safe and telephone belonged to the basic furnishings of the rooms.
