Good hotel, but there is really no recommendation: why? *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Courtyard by Marriott in Edmonton is a typical business hotel (3 1/2 star) in very simple Hochhausarchitektur and has more than 170 rooms spread over 8 floors. The hotel also a clean and well-kept impression. As usual to pay separately the breakfast buffet.
Location
The hotel is centrally located in downtown Edmonton, right on the North Saskatchewan River and offers a qualifying room an impressive overview of the imposing river, the him Traversing umrahmenden him bridges, and the gardens.
The service at the restaurant (breakfast only by North American standards) is not good, service a lane rude and the fact that this beautiful terrace on a sunny which must make refused ARGUABLY only with addiction to explain unterkühlten rooms. Why because these Traumterrasse? The room cleaning was perfect.

The choice at the buffet breakfast is quite small and for a hotel of this standard rather poor, which also overlooks the supposedly unilateral Frühstücksgewohnheiten (= pollock) golden REDFISH beaked REDFISH guests. Cheap jams, too few croissants, bad pastries, little fruit, but a couple on request only mostly cereals, juices, however eggs, bacon and fried potatoes. The selection of restaurants in downtown Edmonton is surprisingly low; we searched a place to eat. Two in guide books recommended restaurants or non existent was not available.

Room
The room with a view over the river was very large, clean, furnished sufficiently (no safety deposit box and mini-bar) and had a large bathroom. It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Free internet seems to be standard in Alberta.
Tips and recommendations
Why now but a devaluation? Upstairs are but no key criticisms quoted. We booked this hotel Furthermore, at a bargain for US$100 (plus taxes), into an Art American auction zugelost get on the internet: Priceline --- name your own price! There you will get your price that one for a certain (preferably high class) is to pay, the area, downtown, Edmonton, and it then the number of stars from 5 down step by step down, as far as you are prepared to amend your demands and up here that a as though they were being ripped off on the deal you will not find it accomdating. This is the hotel but also its entirety.. To our price the hotel itself is without doubt a definite recommendation. But the regular price is more than three times. This is a great value for money definitely not. The main reasons why not a positive recommendation was made, but it is also due to the fact that Edmonton itself is actually not worth. But this is certainly also a matter of opinion. More about that in separate travel tips to a tour of the Canadian Alberta. So if you get through Priceline zugelost this hotel, don't hesitate! It is its 3 1/2 stars, nothing more.
