Hotel Creta Maris

Generally the hotel and its gardens are very nicely kept. It is directly on the beach in a nice bay.

Generally very friendly. A lot of facilities, but almost everyone of them is for a fee, even WI-FI Internet is for a heavy fee.

The food was very nice, although the waiters were sometimes forgetful and we felt almost compelled to tip them.

The outside pool is nice. The inside pool however was not heated and the water had the same temperature as the outside one. This was particularly annoying as we have selected this hotel partly because it was indicated on the hotel website hat they have a heated pool.
In addition the water sports centre was closed in May so we could not use it.

We were accomodated in a bungalow in the gardens. The room was very small and the furniture was old. We had a small terrace which was nice but which was directly overlooking and not separated from other neighouring terraces. Luckily there was nobody in the bungalow next to us, otherwise it would have been unusable.
Air-conditioning was at least 20 years old and very noisy. The remote of the TV was broken and was fixed with a tape (in a 5*star hotel:)). There was no hot but only warm water.

This definetely not a 5* star hotel (except for the food which is excellent) and I would not recommend it for the price tag it has now. I would never choose it again.
