A holiday with the pump station. *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe stayed in August 2010 to Terra Maris guest at the hotel and be dissappointed. - My wife and I are lot for work and know what a 5 star hotel. This hotel has 3 stars, with caution. four (4 ! ) Star. For years we book as a family five stars, all-inclusive, and are better. - The Zimmerschließsystem is Antedeluvian, as if the old Lutter his church which opens. - We had apartment 6505 and always the background noise a pump station with firm Druckschlägen ( all two Skunden). In fact, the pump station in the middle of the apartments and also about the pumps and their Pipeline via the whole time ( day and night) a considerable background noise on the public toilets lives. I had complained about firmly, however this lack ignored. Unfortunately I could not have my shadow and had no Geldumschlag "Fakelaki" offers. Others have this and were better room. - The first impression was very sobering than staying in my basement einziehe. Mediterranean I could understand, but the decor is very used up, the pavement had been overcoated-floor multicolored walls and dog prints. - The public is very Eastern European, especially as this a substantially lower price paid. - Because of the five stars I packed shirts, that I could save. For dinner is enough for a long Tracksuit trousers and flip-flops. - The beach is a joke. Tiny and beach chairs and/or for shade. At neighboring beach the Creta Maris ( neighbor hotel from the same company) we are not allowed. -> So the pool. My tip: If you really want to this hotel should abroad how a room upgrade with the "Fakelaki" will try. Conclusion: no thanks

Dear Mr. AndreasThanks for taking the time & write about us. We have checked your reservation, you had paid a super low rate for standard room & we for free upgrade you to pool view bungalow. The remark you made for tipping the front officer or similar, in the international hotelier language is called “on the spot room category up-selling”. Other clients often wish to be upgraded & make deals with the agents of the reception for the best available rate of a better room category. That happened as well during your stay, & we assume that due to limited knowledge, you thought this is tipping & not normal invoicing. Hope it is clear to you now for your next trips. As far as the large Cretan key concerns, it is tradition here to use such keys, many of our repeaters love it; as it is in Germany tradition to drink Beer in large glasses. For example these large glasses here are used in hospitals for examination, but we - being polite enough - never mention & never want to be sarcastic with traditional items of each country.
